Appropriately sized, however it seems to fit loose because they don’t lace up very high and it makes the tongue stick out at the top of the shoe - it doesn’t stay tucked in at the top so it seems to fit loose. While it might be a “look” some kids might like, it was annoying as a basketball shoe and we wanted something to fit tighter around my daughter’s ankles. The design is otherwise nice and it’s a good shoe - just don’t like how it fits and looks around the ankle.Poor quality. Eyelets not open nor reinforced. Lacing odd tongue of shoe attached to sides making the lacing awkward.Very happy with my Kobe's.
